Guardwell Sheltered Housing CLG was created to provide secure, affordable and comfortable housing and to promote independent living for adults and older people in the community.

Where we are:

Phase one is located at Church Square, Kinsale.

Phase two is located close to phase one at 2 Cork Street, Kinsale, Co.Cork, P17E670. The units are situated around an attractive paved courtyard area just opposite the Garda Station. Both phases are located close to churches, shops and the town centre.

Accountability and Transparency

We are committed to delivering a quality service. We are open and transparent in our financial reporting and adhere to all applicable legislation such as the Companies Act, Charities Act and SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice) for accounting and reporting practice.  Our Annual Report and financial statements are also published annually.

We achieved compliance with the voluntary Governance Code – a code of Practice for Good Governance of Community, Voluntary and Charitable Organisations in Ireland in 2018. We also comply with the Charities Regulator Governance Code which replaced the voluntary Code in 2019 and also adhere to codes of practice such as the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations on Fundraising from the Public.
